Hilda Baci is a Nigerian chef who runs a restaurant in her homeland, My Food by Hilda. She is however seen on top of the world after successfully breaking the World Record for the Longest Cooking hours, as per the Guinness World Book Of Records.
The Nigerian chef made a successful attempt at Amore Gardens, Lagos state, where several locals camped in support of Hilda Baci and her mission.
In order to meet her goal, Hilda Baci was required to stand while cooking and was not at all costs permitted to sit while cooking. She was also not allowed to take coffee, stimulants, or any energy drink that would artificially boost her energy and bodily strength while cooking.
She cooked round the clock, with no sleep (morning, afternoon, evening, and night).
She was allowed for just 5 minutes rest per hour (meaning for every 1 hour; entitled to just 5 minutes rest or break, that’s an hour break in every 12 hours; from bathing to medical check-ups and resting).

The 27-year-old had the Lekki area of Lagos, Nigeria commercial hub pumped up with cheers of joy after she stepped out of the competition triumphant. Thousands of residents were gathered at the scene, in jubilation showering praises on Hilda Baci.
She happily confessed that it was to her surprise that there was such a big turnout as she didn’t expect.
“I generally just feel a lot of relief and I’m very happy and I’m very proud. The turnout was very unexpected, so that definitely surprised me and I’m honestly just very happy and very pleased and grateful and am looking forward to like what’s next to come.” Hilda Baci said.
The media sensation also said that it was endurance, determination, and motivation from her friends that prompted her to change the hours to 100.
What prompted us or prompted me to change the hours to 100? It wasn’t anything out of the ordinary.
It was just my friends pretty much talked me into it and psyched me into it like, ‘you can actually do 100 hours. Yeah, I think it’d be nice if you did it. I think you take a longer time for someone to break 100 hours as opposed to 96 hours because it just seems so much. And my brother was like, yeah, if you think you can, then you owe it to yourself to just try.” Hilda remarked.

Guinness World Record Committee is yet to certify Hilda Baci’s record.
Through an official statement, Guinness World Record Committee stated that its team is still reviewing the evidence in order to certify Hilda’s new world record.
Officials on our records team look forward to reviewing the evidence and hope to be able to verify Hilda’s efforts as a new record very soon. We are aware of the record attempt and are looking forward to receiving the evidence for our Records Management Team to review, before we can confirm the record is official.” The statement read in part.
