What is Talanta Hela?
These are two Swahili words that can be translated as, “Monitizing Talent”.
This is the current big project in the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts, led by the able CS, Ababu Namwamba.
The project is aiming to grow the talents of young kids in Kenya, all the way from the grassroots. Grassroots, meaning, the talents will be spotted back in the villages, recruited, and nurtured while Kenya’s dream for FIFA World Cup 2030 remains valid.

What is the Primary Aim of the Talanta Hela Project?
According to CS Ababu Namwamba, Talanta Hela is part of the economic conversation.
The economic conversation is in the current UDA Government Agenda for the new regime led by His Excellency, Dr. William Samoei Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya.
This initiative seeks to support and promote the development of young talent in various fields such as music, dance, theater, comedy, sports, etc.
Through this project, the government hopes to create a pathway for young people to use their talents to create income and become self-sufficient.

How to Participate in Talanta Hela Project.
Do you have a talent that you want to showcase? Talanta Hela is here for you.
For one to participate in Talanta Hela Project, this is the unofficial laid-out procedure that youths would be required to follow:
- Take a short clip of about 4 to 10 minutes. A recording of yourself showcasing your talent.
- Post it in the Talanta Hela platform that will be provided by the Ministry of Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts.
- Appointed technical officers, including trained coaches, will review it at a specified location for several hours, probably at Kasarani stadium.
- Good talents will be recruited and taken to trials.
- Talent nurturing would have commenced during the trials.
