Shabana FC showed again why they are still the league leaders of the FKF-National Super League, this after they trashed Vihiga FC 6-0 on Monday 24th April 2023.
At Mumias Sports Complex, Shabana scored their first goal through Peter Ogechi Maestro, just 20 minutes after the kickoff.
Shabana FC dominated the game with good attacking skills, they scored their second goal Forty-three minutes before halftime through their brilliant player Wycliffe Ntatha Mutua who send the ball to the back of the net.
In the first half, Shabana FC was leading with two goals to nil against the home team Vihiga FC. In the 56th minute, Wycliffe Ntatha Mutua scored a brace and made it 3-0 for his team Shabana.
Shabana FC Keeps Scoring
Shabana FC’s players didn’t give up on scoring more goals. With a good display and great control of the game from the visitors, they scored their fourth goal through Vincent Nyabuto Socha who scored another goal in the 86th minute to make it 5-0.

Derima Major scored the injury-time goal and gave his team a super win against Vihiga. The match ended 6-0 and it was a big credit to Shabana since they showed a great game.
Now after twenty-one matches they have played, Shabana FC is still at the top spot after tallying a total of 45 points. Their closer rivals Murang’a Seal who has played a total of 19 matches are sitting in second place after collecting 38 points.
Gusii FC and Migori Youths close the top four best teams with 34 points and 32 points respectively.
Shabana FC and Murang’a Seal will be promoted directly to FKF-Kenya Premier League if they will both teams will finish in the top two at the end of the NSL season 2022-2023. They are required to win all the remaining matches from now.

Murang’a Seal which was founded in 2016, has been on a steady arise and they will be playing in the Kenya Premier League next season if they continue with their current form of winning matches.
Gusii will have to participate in the promotion play-off if they will finish in position three. They will have to play against the three relegated teams from the elite League, and FKF-Kenya premier league and win in order for them to secure a place to play in the league next season.
Fortune Sacco who is at position 18 in NSL and APS Bomet who has not played any match since the start of this season will be relegated to the FKF Division One Zone League.
