Nairobi, Kenya:
According to an article published by the Standard Media group; After Moses Kuria was suspended from the University of Nairobi, Raila Odinga assisted in getting him readmitted. Kuria stayed at Opoda Farm in Bondo and attended Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s first anniversary.
He had previously received a citation from the National Cohesion and Integration Commission for making a Facebook post that the Luo community found disrespectful. His problems with the police actually stemmed from remarks he made concerning “Odinga’s assassination.”
Raila Odinga’s Role in Moses Kuria’s Readmission
But unbeknownst to many of his followers, it was Odinga who stepped in and facilitated Kuria’s readmission to the University of Nairobi when he and other student leaders were suspended.
“I can confirm that Raila gave Kuria Sh400 and also paid Kajwang to represent the students in court. I can also confirm that on Saturday, January 20, 1995, Kuria attended Jaramogi Oginga Odinga’s first anniversary and slept in Raila’s Opoda Farm home in Bondo,” Anonymous Source revealed to Standard Newspaper.

Another source, who refused to be identified due to the sensitivity of the story, confirmed to the standard newspaper above that it is true that lawyer Otieno Kajwang’ represented Kuria in court for close to a year until Justice Mwera threw out the case and ordered the university to readmit Kuria and his colleagues.
“Raila gave them Otieno Kajwang until the court ordered the university to re-admit Kuria and other student leaders back,” he said.
The standard newspaper contacted Raila but he refused to comment on any issue touching on Moses Kuria.
“I don’t want to speak about these things. I don’t know want to speak about Moses Kuria,” said the Raila Odinga leader through one of his spokespersons.
