Karen Blixen Museum is located 19km from the city center and can be accessed through both the Ngong and Langata roads. The Karen Blixen Museum was once a centerpiece of a coffee farm that was owned by a Danish author Karen and her Swedish husband Baron Bor Blixen at the foot of Kenya’s Ngong Hills which was then referred to as Mbogani. Karen came to Kenya in the year 1914 to join a fiancé who had arrived in Kenya a year before. Karen was a talented poet, author, and farmer.
