The chairperson of the President’s Economic Advisory Council David Ndii has now said that President William Ruto’s government is shooting itself in the foot with extravagance, stressing his earlier statement while calling out his boss’s government for fakery public debates.
David Ndii cited that two weeks ago, he spoke his truth about a country that has a public debate challenge and a government that is wasteful and that something has to be done to avoid more debt.

Two weeks ago, I spoke to three self evident truths viz (a) we have a public debt challenge (b) governments are wasteful and (c) administration is shooting itself in the foot with extravagance. The amount of ink that has been split calls for reflection about the fakery we call public debate.”
Said David Ndii.
Despite being part and parcel of William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza government, Ndii has come out straight to criticize the ruling government. Most of the members of the public have hailed him for his confident motives; calling a spade a spade.’
I was telling a friend that David Ndii is not a populist. He doesn’t care if the world hates him, so long as he is sure that his ideas are correct. We need more of such.”
David Mutai praised Ndii.
Speaking of Ndii’s call out of ‘fakery public debates’, Kenyans have insisted on the nation having a real talk about the challenges the society is facing.
Couldn’t agree more. It’s time for real talk about the challenges we’re facing as a society. Let’s have a genuine public debate about how to address issues like public debt and government waste.”
A netizen backed David Ndii.
The public feels that no one from the bigger picture of the government, the opposition cares about what the common man is going through. Insisting that President William Ruto perpetuates it, while opposition chief Raila Odinga only thinks about the servers.
Nowadays, corruption is being sugarcoated as ‘wastage’.”
Cied out Boniface.

Uhuru caused the circumstances- David Ndii
Talking of former president Uhuru Kenyatta having managed to pay salaries and still carry out big infrastructure projects, as mentioned by a netizen- that the current government should reach out for his advice, David Ndii said that Uhuru Kenyatta caused the current circumstances willingly.
Uhuru caused the circumstances. Evidently, he seemed the state was as rich as his mother.”
David Ndii fired back.
This is not the first time the government economist has come strong in criticizing the government.
On April 10, 2023, while speaking on Citizen television, Ndii said that the current government is very wasteful of resources.
The government is very wasteful. There’s no single day that I am not irritated by not just how wasteful it is, but also how deliberate and unbothered (people ignored) are in wasting the funds.”
He said.
He also insisted that there is nothing anyone can do to stop the wasteful behavior of Kenya’s Kwanza government.
There is nothing anyone can do (currently) to stop the wastage. No institution or administration can help change the situation, but what can be done is come up with systems that can try value of money and also strengthen the Auditor General’s office so that it can do more on value for money.”
He remarked.
Even though many Kenyans believe that David Ndii has taken the right path with his critical motives against his boss’s government, Kenya Kwanza loyalists have received his remarks fuelled with negativity.
After Mr. Ruto congratulated you on your hardwork you come here and spill the beans that public debt is fakery, step aside, even the position you hold in current government is fakery, nothing is constitutional nor did you undergo the due process.”
Said an angered Kenya Kwanza fanatic.
However, many members of the public believe that David Ndii has put his job on the line for telling his government the truth, citing that the Kenya Kwanza government does not like facts.
