A 27-year-old Kitengela woman was arrested on Monday, April 24, for stabbing her 2-year-old daughter to death and later feeding on her remains.
The lady who goes by the name Olivia Naseren is alleged to have killed her child, Glory Njeri, after she parted ways with the minor’s father.
Olivia Naseren had locked herself in her house playing with the baby when she suddenly became violent and started breaking household items. The noise attracted her neighbours who watched and recorded in disbelief as she stabbed her daughter more than 100 times. The locals later called the police and reported the matter seeking for their intervention.
The police and locals later managed to break into the house and found the lady unconscious.
Juvenile aged 2-year-old was sliced by the mother into pieces, and she later fed on her intestines. The suspect was found at the scene unconscious and escorted to Sub-county Hospital for treatment.”

Olivia Naseren dismembered the body parts of the deceased baby and fed on them. Upon arrival to the hospital, she was treated and forced to vomit the alleged body parts so as to be used for evidence.
Neighbours were attracted by noise from her house and they rushed into here room where they found she had locked herself inside alongside the minor. She began by breaking her T.V. set before she her baby, whom she stabbed more than 100 times as neighbours watched in disbelief. She later dismembered her body parts and began eating the deceased’s body parts.”
Added the police report.
The woman was rushed to Kitengela Sub-county for treatment pending further action.
Upon arrival at the hospital, she was treated and forced to vomit the alleged body parts which are of evidence to the case.”

Why did the Kitengela woman cause such a bizarre incident?
Despite being rendered mentally unstable, Olivia Naseren later spoke to the press, owing to the fact that she committed fear of being apprehended and charged.
The woman claimed that the reason for her heinous act was due to being affected by her breakup with the child’s father. Naseren further confessed that she attacked her baby because she hated herself and had suffered greatly with her child.
I do not love myself and that is the reason why I decided to take the life of my daughter.”
Said Naseren.
Kitengela Directorate of Criminal Investigations boss Benson Mutia commented that investigations would continue despite the lady’s confession and hoped she would record a statement on the same. The woman will also be subjected to a mental test to ascertain whether she was in the right state while committing the act.

It is a bizarre incident. We will be interrogating her to ascertain the motive of the killing. We also want to know if the murder was premeditated.”
