One of the most prominent and recognizable marathons in the world is the Boston Marathon. History of the Boston Marathon

The course

The iconic Heartbreak Hill in Newton, which is located around mile 20, is one of the many hills on the route. The hill is so named because, after conquering the first three hills, many runners have struggled to keep up their pace over the years.
